Q Why does it cost more for a custom board?
A Trust us. This is the deal of the century. If you call Kinko's (FedEx Office), you will find that large-format color posters cost $7.50/square foot ($112 for a typical draft board). We are charging just $7 + shipping for the entire color poster. It ends up being an extra buck/man for the custom feature. We think it is well worth it.
Q Do I get to pick the colors?
No, we pick the colors and try to do the best we can. Allowing every customer to pick colors would make the process unmanageable from a production standpoint.
Q How do I know I am going to like the way it looks? Do I get a proof?
Since this is just a matter of making a board to fit your necessary dimensions and adding a header to it, there really is nothing to proof. If you are not comfortable with this, you might consider one of our off-the-shelf draft kits. Our operation simply is not set up for proofs.
Q What about returns?
Since this is a custom kit, there are no returns. If something gets damaged in transit, we will provide replacement(s) if necessary.
Q Why do you charge $8 extra shipping for the custom draft boards?
A The printer that produces the custom draft board is in a different state than where our labels are made. Often (but not always), we ship the custom board separate from the labels. In cases where they are shipped together, we still have to ship the labels to where the printer is or vice versa. Either way, this entails an additional shipping cost.
Q How do the custom boards ship?
A Either via Priority Mail or FedEx Ground/Home Delivery. We choose whichever makes the most sense. Sometimes Priority Mail is faster, and sometimes it is not.
Q Do you offer Express shipping on custom boards?
A We will soon. If you need it faster than ground, send us an email if the options are not available. Keep in mind that this will likely increase the shipping cost for the same reason mentioned in the question above regarding the $8 charge.
Q How much longer does it take for a custom shipment?
A 2 extra days. Do not get a custom board if your draft is tomorrow or the next day without discussing your situation with us.
